LGP went to AAE

And came back with only 3!!

We had an amazing time talking with people about our geckos and many even took a piece of LGP with them :)

Look who found a new home today!
Taz, Minnie, Jerry, Oberweis, Ernie, Mario, and Natasha
Annex: Dotty, Bill, Batista, Deb, Billy Bob, Aphrodite

Still looking for a home:
Barney, Tom, and Oscar (but I might just hold on to that one...)
Annex: Stripey

In case you haven't noticed on either Facebook or on our available page... there is now The Annex of LGP Gecko. This portion does not live at LGP, rather they are all Ryan's sister's geckos who live about 20 minutes away. We will be adding a sub-page so you can check out those breeding pairs as well. She has an AMAZING pinstripe pairing from Andrew Schnell. They have had four offspring so far, we bought one (Chevelle) and they were the first 3 off the table at AAE yesterday. For those of you who don't know what AAE is... it's Scott's All Animal Expo held in Wheaton, IL at the Dupage County Fairgrounds the first Saturday and third Sunday of each month.  It was our first time vending there today, however, we go constantly!

In other news, we have added 2 new gargoyles to the mix with three more to be shipped once weather permits.

This big lady (50 grams so far...) is Cinnamon. We thought this was her fired up because she had such bright white and those Cinnamon Sticks down her back. Later on she showed us that she has some more burgundy/red tones in her. She has an amazing personality.

This little one still doesn't have a name. I could tell, despite being totally fired down when I bought her, that she was red. Sure enough....
We're in need of a food name for this one (most likely a girl). Any ideas?

These next three are currently in the hands of Tiger Onzuka (GeckoLovers.com) and will be coming to us once the weather cooperates!

Male:
Male:
(Doesn't he look like Darkwing but only with Red Splotches??? You can see where this is going)

Female (in shed)

If you cant' already tell, we are VERY excited to get started breeding Gargoyle geckos!! We have three RTB females just waiting here for the guys above.... 1 female who will be ready in a few months, and 2 little ones (who I'm going to guess at this point are females) for next year!!

Garfield and Penelope are going to be heading over to the Annex next week, we look forward to seeing what they produce!

Our breeding season has begun!!! Just to clear the air, we have NEW breeder females beginning to lay as they came to weight at the end of last season and have begun laying as of last month (some of them). We also have 2 females who cooled for 6 months and 1 for 3 months. (Only 4 veterans/proven) I know some people are like "Um... it's still winter?!" Not in our house, it's perfect temperature for them!

As of right now we have...
4 Eggs from our dalmatians: Chips x Rafiki
2 Eggs from our reds: Sebastian x Iago
4 Eggs from our high contrast harley: Spike x Aladdin
2 Eggs from our tri color harley: Spike x Pineapple
2 Eggs from our darks : Goliath x Tails
2 Eggs from an experiment: Spike x Raja
2 Eggs from our darks: Baloo x Mowgli

Doughball and Gambit both paid a visit to their layboxes but nothing yet....
Ariel, Brooklyn, and Nala have yet to lay. Sarabi will most likely be paired with Mufasa by March and Shelby with GT.

Whew, I think I'm done typing for now...

Sorry for the lack of posts... been busy! You know how it goes.

We've added a few different geckos including a sub-adult male from Pangea named Baloo. He's a dark male for Mowgli in the spring. We also picked up a sub-adult female from Pangea named Penelope for Garfield.

And.... We have the first babies from Pickles x Doughball: Snuffleapagus and Oscar the Grouch. Hatched out at 1.7 and 1.9 grams. They are such little cuties. I can't wait until we can get some photos of them. The names were switched because Snuffleapagus ended up having green hues and Oscar was brown, so it only seemed fitting.

All of our ladies are on a laying hiatus despite them being in warm temperatures. Oh well...  but we are in need of male gargoyle. We cannot find a 30+ gram reticulated male with orange blotches around here! If anyone has one, please LET US KNOW!

We will be having a little Christmas sale soon....

Meet the Gargs!

We've added 4 very new faces here... gargoyles geckos! Oreo (aka Big Mama) came to us from Derek Dunlop, paired with a red striped female formerly. Doritos also came from Derek Dunlop as a female. Darkwing Duck (aka Stick) is a little cutie who came from Supreme Gecko. The little guy below hasn't made it to the gargoyle page yet... named Oberweis. When we first got him (or her) it was practically all white with little black markings. Obviously, that is not the case anymore!

There also updated pictures and weights on the Available and Unsexed pages. New weights will be posted on the adults pages soon :)

Back from Tinley!

NARBC Tinley is over... and it was fantastic! We won VIP passes from Supreme Gecko (Thank you, Wally Kern and Brian Potter!). Got to meet and talk with some fantastic gecko people. And of course, we came home with a few new faces as well. While they won't have an official photoshoot for a few weeks, we figured we'd sneak in a few pics.

Meet the long awaited (well maybe only a week) Shelby! Just look at that back :)
She will be with GT in the spring. From Supreme Gecko (thanks Wally!)

In between the show and the auction, the geckos got to hang out at Culvers.

This next one is Mufasa... crowned head with nice pinning.
He will be with Sarabi in the spring. From Ariel Cudia

We got our very first Gargoyles, too!
Meet Darkwing Duck. Goes from a light gray, to jet black with orange. From Supreme Gecko (thanks Chris!)

Next up is Dorito. We love the retic look in gargoyles, especially with orange and red in them.  This one has a lot of orange, even in her tail! From Derek Dunlop.

This chunky mama is Oreo. She's gravid from a redish striped male from Derek Dunlop.
She's massive and such a sweetheart.

In other news, our dubia colony is growing! Their bucket got cleaned and egg cartons replaced today. Before that happened, we thought a pic was due of all of them hanging out without their hiding places. Ain't the cute?!?!? Not.

Bagheera will be shipping out this week for Oklahoma. With Brooklyn and Tails now with Goliath, Bagheera is just extra. Why not spread the dark gecko love??

Stay tuned for more pictures and weights in the next few weeks!
Maybe even a leachie!
